Competing
Read this if you're entering any competition.
Every competitor
- Buy an All Day Pass, plus a $10 entry for each competition.
- Register by Friday, Nov 13 at 11:59 pm.
- Need to drop a comp? Give 24 hours' notice to get your entry fee refunded.
- Pick up your bib by 3:15 pm.
- Be lined up 15 minutes before your division starts. Absent competitors are scratched.

Who can enter
Newcomer is for dancers who have been dancing about 1 to 6 months. Everyone is welcome in All Levels, including newcomers.
Format
- Each round is 3 songs, about 90 seconds each.
- The final is an all-skate, 3 songs at 90 seconds. The last song may run longer if judges need more time.
- No aerials or lifts. At least one foot stays on the ground at all times.
Judging, in order of importance
- Timing. Are you dancing on beat?
- Technique. How solid are your basics and fundamentals?
- Teamwork. How well do you and your partner work together?
- Content. Creativity and variety in your movement.
- Showmanship. Confidence, and selling it to the judges and crowd.
Line dance competitions

Rules
- Dance the first two walls exactly as choreographed.
- All restarts follow the stepsheet. The first tag is danced as written.
- No flips or aerials.
- Floorwork, kicks, and jumps are fine if they don't interfere with other dancers. Jumps can't take your legs above hip height.
Judging, in order of importance
- Technique. Are the steps executed correctly?
- Timing. Are you on beat with the music?
- Styling. Your personality shows while the choreography stays recognizable.

A historic downtown ballroom with a restored 10,000 sq ft wooden floor.
Parking & traffic
Prepaid parking in the adjacent lot is $15 per vehicle. Add it when you buy your ticket.
Downtown traffic can be unpredictable. Leave extra time, especially if you're competing.
Food & drinks
Preorder a $15 catered lunch with your ticket, or eat at the building's restaurants, Peachtree Sporting Club and American Dive.
Buying food and drinks there supports the venue that's hosting us.
